Designer Cuts Cards & Treats

Please join us this month at the Cards & More Group to make several Designer Cuts cards and treats.  We will be focusing on love this month: Valentine's, Wedding, Anniversary and more. 

These card & treat projects are ultra-fast and simple, perfect for:

• Valentine's Day: spouse, family, teachers, classmates et al
• Wedding: Congratulations, Anniversary, Bridal Shower
• Visiting Teaching
• Co-Workers

Each month the Group meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month - this month's group is Tuesday, January 24th! 

Each month we strive to design projects which take about 10 minutes to make; making it easier for our busy lives to drop in between 7:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. (final cuts around 8:30 p.m.).

I {heart} Designer Cuts Cards & Envelopes!

I’m in LOVE!  These are the new Designer Cuts found in the Occasions Mini catalog under Cards & Envelopes Set on page 9.  The cards are laser cut and I was thrilled to see it was ready to go, which means I didn’t have to poke out all the itty bitty pieces from the cuts. 

These cards are elegant, simple, and so versatile!

There are two differnt designs.  They are both Very Vanilla and both undecorated, with coordinating Blushing Bride envelopes.  Designer Cuts make ideal wedding, bridal shower, Valentine's or birthday cards. 

Here are a couple of very simple ways to decorate these cards.

I added the new 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon, 1/2" Chantilly Crochet Trim and medium Basic Pearls.  I also slipped a piece of Blushing Bride card stock on the inside behind the beautiful cut out design and stamped it with the Happiest Birthday Wishes hostess set.

This is the card I made for my daughter's 11th birthday, which she is celebrating today :)  Again, this delicate laser-cut card is from the Designer Cuts Cards & Envelopes Set in the new Occasions Mini Catalog.  For this card, I added a sentiment from the Perfect Words hostess set in Jet Black Staz On and colored in the '11' with my Blushing Bride Stampin' Write Marker.  I also stamped the 'Happy Birthday' shown above on the inside of this card.

This is another Designer Cuts card I modified by cutting the heart out with the new Hearts Collection Framelits dies, adding another Riding Hood Red die cut heart under it and popping it all up with dimensionals.  The card base is Basic Black, matted with Riding Hood Red card stock and Very Vanilla 5/8" Satin Ribbon.  I stamped the 'love' image from the Tiny Tags stamp set and punched it out with the Jewelry Tag punch and embellished it with a Basic Rhinestone Jewel.

Finally, I got out the new Love & Laughter stamp set from the Ocassions Mini and made a wedding card:

This time I paired the new 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon with a sting of Basic Pearls and cut a scrap of Blushing Bride card stock with fantasic new Fashionable Hearts Embosslits die; another new die cut available in the Occasions Mini (page 35) that includes 5 adorable cut and embossed hearts.

Happy New Year!  Here's a look at what's new at Stampin' Up! ~ Edgelits Dies!  Join me in my happy dance!  The new Edgelit dies coordinate perfectly with the upcoming Bordering on Romance stamp set!

I cut Blushing  Bride card stock down to size to fit my 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 card base and ran it through the Big Shot with one of the new Edgelits dies.  Then I stamped the coordinating image from the new Bordering on Romance stamps in Riding Hood Red ink just above the cut section, allowing for a perfect peek of the new Twitterpated Designer Series Paper ~ a snap to create a beautifully taylored accent to my card!

After stamping another image from the Bordering on Romance stamp set in Jet Black StazOn, I colored it in with a blender pen, popped it out with a 1-3/4" circle punch and layered it all on a 2-3/8" scallop circle punched out in Riding Hood Red and attached with Dimensionals.  The sentiment is from the Word Play stamp set.
